Hannah’s theatre work includes The Girl Who Fell (Trafalgar Studios) starring Claire Goose, Rosie Day, Will Fletcher and Navin Chowdhry, End of the Pier (Park Theatre), nominated for two Off West End Awards and starring Les Dennis, Nitin Ganatra, Blake Harrison and Tala Gouveia, Down and Out Live (Stone Nest, London, La Generale, Paris) an immersive staging, for which Hannah adapted the book and readers included Simon Callow, Jack Munroe, Peter Hitchens and more, for the Orwell Foundation, Again (Trafalgar Studios) starring Natasha Little, Chris Larkin, Rosie Day and Charlie Reston, Permanence (Tarragon Theatre, Toronto), Escape the Scaffold (Theatre 503 & The Other Room Theatre), Run the Beast Down starring Ben Aldridge (Marlowe Theatre/Finborough Theatre), 1984 Live (Senate House) an immersive staging adapted by Hannah for the Orwell Foundation, readers included Dame Harriet Walter, Orwell’s grandson, Bonnie Greer and more, Rainbow Class (Bush Theatre/ Assembly Rooms), TEST (Scala Theatre, Basel) a brand new musical with a cast of 25 and 25 musicians, The Dead Monkey (Park Theatre), Boa (Trafalgar Studios) starring Dame Harriet Walter, Cello/Fragile (Yard Theatre), Bud Take the Wheel, I Feel a Song Coming On (Shaw Theatre and Underbelly), That Moment (King‘s Head Theatre and national tour), In a Very Real Sense (Soho Theatre), Portmanteau (Arcola Theatre and BikeShed Theatre, Exeter), Loving Ophelia (Pleasance London). Hannah has also directed multiple workshops, and works closely with writers on developing their work from inception to production. 

For Theatre Uncut, Hannah has directed Refugee (Teater Grob, Copenhagen), In Opposition (Paines Plough Roundabout), Knowledge is Power: Knowledge is Change (Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, and national tour), Referendum Plays (Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh), TU Istanbul: Power and Protest (Dot Tiyatro, Istanbul International Theatre Festival and Traverse Theatre), TU 2013: The Rise of the Right (The Young Vic) and The Cuts Plays (Southwark Playhouse, Soho Theatre, Latitude Festival and Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh), as well as running international projects in Istanbul and Copenhagen, and directing multiple readings and the award ceremony for the Theatre Uncut Political Playwriting Award. 

As an Associate/ Assistant Director Hannah has worked with Directors including John Malkovich, Josie Rourke, Phyllida Lloyd, Joe Wright, Peter Gill, Lyndsey Turner and others. She was Associate Director (also directing camera) for the The Machine, both in Manchester and in New York, and was assistant director on Phyllida Lloyd’s all female Julius Caesar, in London and New York.
